More than 6 million Americans currently live with Alzheimer's disease, with a projection of almost 13 million by 2050. The Alzheimer's Association's vision is a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia. The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. It is an opportunity to spread the word about the fight against Alzheimer's. On June 20, take the time to shine a light in support of those who fight this disease every day.
The "Shine A Light" candle comes in a purple vessel to note the signature color of the Alzheimer's Association and is available in two scents:
Lavender - Believed to be calming and balance strong emotions. Also seen as an antidepressant and can help with insomnia.
Lemon Balm and Rosemary - Helpful to reduce agitation. It can also be stimulating and uplifting for the mind and body. This scent can also help to improve cognitive performance.
All proceeds from the sale of this candle will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
